When LeBron James was drafted to the Cleveland Cavalier’s in 2003, he gave the team something they hadn’t had in a long time: Hope. In 2006, the Cavs made the playoffs for the first time in eight years. Not only was this a new era for the franchise, it was the beginning of the career of the NBA’s most tantalizing hero (or supervillian, depending on which side you’re on). For the past three years, sports fans have been forced to… Continue reading

Its something that will be in my head all summer and for years and years to come. I was sitting in the American Airlines Arena wearing my Thunder gear, and left and right Heat fans were jumping around and going nuts. The clock was winding down; 3…2…1. The Miami Heat won the 2012 NBA championship. In the years to come, hopefully, it is the other way around. Maybe next year, Durant and Westbrook will be crying and hugging each other… Continue reading
When Russell Westbrook fouled Mario Chamlers with a little under one minute to go, I just stood there, and my mouth dropped wide open. I was shell-shocked. Totally speechless. How could he do that? I felt so bad for Russell at the moment. The guy had 43 points, 5 assists, and 7 rebounds. He was outstanding. Russell shut all the critics up with his terrific play. However, some will look back on tonight, and blame Game 4 of the NBA… Continue reading
1. Grade the playoffs so far. What has been surprising? What has been disappointing? Billy Hoyle – Keeperofthecourt.com 2011-12 playoffs: B minus. The good: 1) The discovery of a super-intelligent, team-oriented, and seemingly unbeatable team in the SAS 2) Two enormous performances by James and Rondo, totaling to 89 points, 23 rebounds, and 15 assists 3) In displaying both discipline and an understanding of good basketball, several young teams – IND, PHI, and OKC – showed the world how bright the league’s future… Continue reading
You could see it coming. When the Thunder were down seven going into half, I was saying,”This game is far from over.” This whole year, Oklahoma City showed that they are a resilient team, with lots of heart. Game 6 against San Antonio was extremely similar to tonight. In Game 6 and tonight, the Thunder didn’t play well in the first half, but came out with incredible intensity which sparked a big run to win the game. It’s almost as if… Continue reading

The Bulls and Heat will be squaring off for the second time this season at 9:30 PM ET. This marks the first time that Lebron James and the Miami Heat will step foot in to the United Center since their miraculous comeback during Game 5 of last year’s Eastern Conference Finals. The last time these two teams faced off, the Bulls lost in a close one. Lebron James’ 35 point double double and the lack of bench production from both… Continue reading
