Nate Robinson vs. John Lucas III: Napoleonic Complexities

John-Lucas-III-3-e1326500554498

It’s not often that two of the shortest players in the NBA are put together for a comparison. With Derrick Rose out until 2013, the Bench Mob gone and the season looking like nothing but a dreary, cold, winter night the inevitable KryptoNate vs. Luke Skywalker debates might provide a bit of  light at the end of the tunnel. There will be three different criteria extrapolated in today’s comparison: cheerleading ability, chances of having the Napoleon Complex on the court… Continue reading »

Wonder About My Thunder: The Olympics

Basketball: USA Team Training

When someone says,” Off-season,” the first thing that comes to my mind is: Rest. Not for these young guys, though. When Scott Brooks says in interviews that all of his players are gym rats he’s not kidding.  Maybe it’s youth, or maybe it’s their motor, and strive for excellence. I call it… Greatness. Durant and Westbrook were almost automatics to make this year’s USA team that will head to London for the Olympics. With only two spots left on the team,… Continue reading »

LeBron James’ Playoff Career: No Narratives, Just Basketball

160650-970x600-1

When LeBron James was drafted to the Cleveland Cavalier’s in 2003, he gave the team something they hadn’t had in a long time: Hope. In 2006, the Cavs made the playoffs for the first time in eight years. Not only was this a new era for the franchise, it was the beginning of the career of the NBA’s most tantalizing hero (or supervillian, depending on which side you’re on). For the past three years, sports fans have been forced to… Continue reading »

NBA Finals: Miami Heat vs. Oklahoma Thunder Game 4 Recap

lebron james kevin durant final

When Russell Westbrook fouled Mario Chamlers with a little under one minute to go, I just stood there, and my mouth dropped wide open. I was shell-shocked. Totally speechless. How could he do that? I felt so bad for Russell at the moment. The guy had 43 points, 5 assists, and 7 rebounds. He was outstanding. Russell shut all the critics up with his terrific play. However, some will look back on tonight, and blame Game 4 of the NBA… Continue reading »

1. Grade the playoffs so far. What has been surprising? What has been disappointing? Billy Hoyle – Keeperofthecourt.com 2011-12 playoffs: B minus. The good: 1) The discovery of a super-intelligent, team-oriented, and seemingly unbeatable team in the SAS 2) Two enormous performances by James and Rondo, totaling to 89 points, 23 rebounds, and 15 assists 3) In displaying both discipline and an understanding of good basketball, several young teams – IND, PHI, and OKC – showed the world how bright the league’s future… Continue reading »

NBA Finals: Miami Heat vs. Oklahoma Thunder Game 1 Recap

kevin-durant-

You could see it coming. When the Thunder were down seven going into half, I was saying,”This game is far from over.” This whole year, Oklahoma City showed that they are a resilient team, with lots of heart. Game 6 against San Antonio was extremely similar to tonight. In Game 6 and tonight, the Thunder didn’t play well in the first half, but came out with incredible intensity  which sparked a big run to win the game. It’s almost as if… Continue reading »

Bustin’ My Bulls: Bulls-Heat Preview

The Bulls and Heat will be squaring off for the second time this season at 9:30 PM ET.
