NBA Talk: Dwight Howard to LA?

Dwight Howard to LA?

And we thought the sweepstakes for Dwight Howard were turned off for a little bit.. League sources told ESPN The Magazine’s Chris Broussard, that a deal that would send Howard to LA, is ‘very close’ to be getting done and could be agreed upon Friday. In the four-team deal, sources told ESPN’s Chris Broussard that Howard and Nuggets forward Al Harrington would go to Los Angeles, Lakers forward Pau Gasol and Nuggets guard Arron Afflalo would go to the Orlando Magic, Philadelphia 76ers guard Andre… Continue reading »

Wonder About My Thunder: Not So Fast

145860489_crop_650x440

Sometimes in the NBA, teams that reach the NBA Finals one year will then come into the next season with the mindset of just breezing by their conference. Not so fast. Similar to the Lakers after they lost in the 2004 NBA Finals, as they came back the next year not even making the playoffs. Hopefully, this doesn’t happen to the Thunder. I mean, I can’t see the Thunder not making the playoffs next year but I hope Oklahoma City doesn’t… Continue reading »

Wonder About My Thunder: Week In Review

Phoenix Suns v Oklahoma City Thunder

89. 89 days untill the NBA season tips off. Yes, I do have a countdown going down in my head, don’t judge. As free-agency dies down, the Thunder has had basically nothing going on besides the Olympics. However, there have been minor things going on in the past week or so: Don’t get me started on how stupid it is for fans to be worried about this is but James Harden was asked if he’d consider playing with the Suns… Continue reading »

2012 NBA Draft: The Thunder select Perry Jones III at Number 28

NCAA Basketball: Division I Championship-Baylor vs Kentucky

Who would have thought that a lottery talent would have fallen all the way to 28? It was a gift. Perhaps Perry Jones III fell down to 28 because of his health concerns as he was medically red flagged prior to the draft, and that might have been the reason teams passed on him.  The 6’11 forward averaged 13.5 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 1.3 assists last year at Baylor. Other great prospects were on the board, such as Draymond Green, Quincy Miller, and Jeff Taylor but… Continue reading »

NBA Draft: The Thunder’s Top 3 Picks at Number 28

uspw_6131790

With Sam Presti, you never know who the Thunder will draft. I don’t think anybody had Reggie Jackson on the Thunder’s list last year. All 30 teams might move up, down, or stay at their pick in this years draft. Here are my top 3 possible picks for the Thunder at 28: Quincy Miller- Baylor 6’10 SF/PF Royce White- Iowa State 6’8 PF Draymond Green- Michigan State 6’8 PF

Oklahoma Thunder 2012 Season Review & Player Grades

Be as emotional and hurtful as you want but there is nothing to be ashamed of as a Thunder fan. Coming into this year, the Thunder wanted to get by the Western Conference Finals and advance to the NBA Finals. Of course, the Thunder wanted to win it all as well. Oklahoma City didn’t just go to the Finals to lose. However, a goal was accomplished and the Thunder made the next step as a team and franchise. Oklahoma City… Continue reading »

NBA Finals: Miami Heat vs. Oklahoma Thunder Game 4 Recap

lebron james kevin durant final

When Russell Westbrook fouled Mario Chamlers with a little under one minute to go, I just stood there, and my mouth dropped wide open. I was shell-shocked. Totally speechless. How could he do that? I felt so bad for Russell at the moment. The guy had 43 points, 5 assists, and 7 rebounds. He was outstanding. Russell shut all the critics up with his terrific play. However, some will look back on tonight, and blame Game 4 of the NBA… Continue reading »

NBA Finals: Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Miami Heat Game 3 Recap

Miami_Heat_vs_Oklahoma_City_Thunder_NBA_Finals_2012_Basketball_Wallpaper

Talk about letting a game slip away. Tonight was a pure example. It was kind of like a wet floor after being mopped. The Thunder were right there, and let it go. Had a perfect opportunity to go up 2-1 in the series and steal one in Miami, and couldn’t. It hurts. Real, real bad. Oklahoma City lost the game late in the third quarter, as they blew a big lead, and let Miami back into the game. Now, the… Continue reading »

NBA Finals: Miami Heat vs. Oklahoma City Thunder Game 2 Recap

Miami-Heat-at-Oklahoma-City-Thunder-NBA-Matchup-jpg

The first few times the Thunder trailed early in a game and had to mount a comeback, we were all thinking to ourselves that it is okay, and it happens. Now, it has become a trend for the young Thunder team. In the Dallas series, the Thunder trailed by seven with 2 and half minutes to play and won. In Game 6 against San Antonio,Oklahoma City prevailed despite a 18 point deficit. In Game 1, the Thunder came back from… Continue reading »

NBA Finals: Miami Heat vs. Oklahoma Thunder Game 1 Recap

kevin-durant-

You could see it coming. When the Thunder were down seven going into half, I was saying,”This game is far from over.” This whole year, Oklahoma City showed that they are a resilient team, with lots of heart. Game 6 against San Antonio was extremely similar to tonight. In Game 6 and tonight, the Thunder didn’t play well in the first half, but came out with incredible intensity  which sparked a big run to win the game. It’s almost as if… Continue reading »
